Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PEEF

Who is eligible for PEEF scholarships?

Students from grades 7-12 in participating public schools in Lalitpur District can apply. Selection is based on financial need, academic performance, and school recommendations. We prioritize students from under-resourced families who demonstrate commitment to education.

How is the fund managed with zero administrative costs?

PEEF operates entirely through volunteer efforts from Rotary Club of Patan members and their families. All management, selection processes, and distribution activities are conducted voluntarily, ensuring 100% of donations directly benefit students. The fund is governed by comprehensive Management and Operational Policies.

Can I donate to support specific students or programs?

While PEEF maintains a general fund for equitable distribution, donors can specify preferences for programs like KEEA Excellence Awards, Graduate Studies Support, or school development initiatives. Contact our PEEF committee for targeted support options or to sponsor specific educational programs.

How can I volunteer with PEEF activities?

Volunteers are welcome during annual selection and distribution campaigns, typically held from November to January. We need assistance with school visits, student assessments, program coordination, and mentoring activities. Both RCP members and community volunteers can contribute their time and skills.

What is the application process for students?

Students apply through their school administration during the annual application period. Schools nominate deserving candidates based on financial need and academic merit. Our volunteer teams then visit schools to conduct interviews and assessments before final selection.
