Heart Health
For more than a decade, the Rotary Club of Patan has worked with Nepal Heart Foundation and Rotary partners on heart-health awareness, school and community screening, and referral to specialist care.
What we do
- Prevention and awareness — school education, youth participation and World Heart Day programmes.
- Early detection — medically led school screening and community heart camps.
- Access to care — referral to specialist assessment and treatment support.
- Local capacity — equipment, healthcare-worker training and institutional partnerships.
Our heart-health work over the years

Our direction
Heart health is a continuing priority for the Rotary Club of Patan. For Rotary Year 2026–27, Rotary District 3292, Nepal Heart Foundation and the Rotary Club of Patan agreed to work together on a District heart-health programme, open to participating Rotary clubs across the District.
Within this collaboration, Patan acts as a bridge between participating clubs and Nepal Heart Foundation. We support clubs in applying for District grants for heart-health activities, then help coordinate implementation with the clubs and our medical partner.
Beyond this Rotary year, we intend to continue and grow this work, at the same or a greater scale, in partnership with the District, Nepal Heart Foundation and participating clubs. Our priorities are to strengthen prevention and awareness, support screening in underserved communities, and improve links to specialist assessment and treatment.
Rotary District 3292 targets for 2026–27
- Heart-health awareness reaching 1,00,000 people
- Screening and check-ups for 50,000 community members
- Treatment facilitation for 100 children
These are District programme targets, not results achieved.
