RHD screening in Hetauda
Activity date: 4–6 July 2024 · Hetauda
From 4–6 July 2024, the Rotary Club of Patan conducted rheumatic heart disease screening in Hetauda as part of its Global Grant work. The submitted activity report records 2,500 screenings, 250 echocardiograms and 22 positive cases identified.
The programme focused on schoolchildren, combining screening with awareness and access to further care. The club’s report records treatment for the positive cases. The activity formed part of the wider effort toward eliminating rheumatic heart disease in Nepal by 2030.
No separate event budget was specified in the submission; the work formed part of the Global Grant project.
