Flood relief programme: support delivered to affected families
Activity date: October 2024–January 2025 · completion recorded 3 January 2025
Following severe flooding in 2024, the Rotary Club of Patan mobilised financial and material support for affected families. Members pledged NPR 310,000 within two weeks in October. The activity report records clothing, utensils and bedding valued at NPR 220,000, with additional supplies planned. Rtns. Khadak S. Bisht and Maheswari Bisht Rawal led the collection of materials.
Relief supported families in the Sikali and Mediciti areas of Lalitpur Ward 18. Completion of this phase was recorded at the Board meeting of 3 January 2025. The report records NPR 420,000 for Ward 18 relief; this figure is presented separately from pledges and collected materials to avoid treating them as additional, non-overlapping expenditure.
A separate phase-one relief package supported flood-affected households in Bethan Chaur, Kavre, through the KPAD partnership with ADSoN and TRIFC. The submission described the Kavre rehabilitation phase as continuing. The programme helped families address immediate needs after loss of homes, food stores and livelihoods.
